Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Amy Newcomer, the founders and power-couple behind ATI Training. For over 30 years, the Newcomers have been helping home inspectors learn the industry and become qualified, not just certified. Realizing the cross-over potential between the home inspection and public adjusting worlds, the Newcomers expanded the ATI Training program to include the training of public adjusters.

As a part of the ATI Training program, new and prospective public adjusters can expect to learn about:

  • Claim Review – public adjusters will learn how to review their clients’ policies, examine technical details, and identify any opportunities or barriers to indemnification.
  • Claim Prep – public adjusters will learn how to streamline processes and present their clients’ claim favorably.
  • Claim Software – public adjusters will learn how to use Xactimate estimating software.
  • Relationship Building and Marketing – public adjusters will learn how to effectively communicate with their clients, explain findings and craft practical solutions to secure the best settlements.

In addition, public adjusters will receive state-specific exam prep materials and live field training.

With the uptick in insurance claims as a result of severe weather across the country, this is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in becoming public adjusters or current public adjusters interested in honing their skills.
