From October 20th to the 22nd the First Party Claims Conference (FPCC) annual meeting is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island. For the uninitiated, “FPCC is a nationally recognized provider of education specifically designed for adjusters, public adjusters, attorneys and others in the first party property insurance claims community.”1

The website for FPCC, firstpartyclaims.com, recommends that, “[a]djusters, public adjusters, attorneys and all other professionals involved in the first party property insurance claims community who want to learn from industry experts, network with peers, and find out about the latest industry products and services available,”2 should attend. Adjusters and attorneys, “can earn up to 15 continuing education (CE) or continuing legal education (CLE) credits.”3

Many members of Merlin Law Group will be in attendance, myself included. Additionally, several will be presenting throughout the entire three-day conference, including our firm’s founder and President, Chip Merlin, who will be presenting a lecture entitled: Super Storm Sandy Retrospective – The Claims Aftermath. Several networking receptions are also planned.

We here at Merlin Law Group encourage all to attend. It’s a great opportunity to learn and to meet others in the industry. If you need any additional information please visit: www.firstpartyclaims.com.

As always, here’s a (mildly) related tune: Rhode Island’s own, Dicky Barrett with his band, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and their hit, The Impression That I Get:
