CALLING ALL PUBLIC ADJUSTERS! The California Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (CAPIA) is having a general meeting on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 11am to 2pm at Maggiano’s Little Italy located at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, California 92626. This general meeting should not be missed as it addresses the current issues affecting all public adjusters. If you are not a member, this is your time to join and be heard! All new and existing members are welcome.
Included in the $50 attendance fee will be an Italian lunch; approved continuing education (CE) credit with a presentation featuring yours truly regarding Additional Living Expenses and the current case law surrounding it; discussion regarding the newly proposed Code of Conduct for the CAPIA membership; and, importantly, the updates and issues surrounding proposed Senate Bill 488 which is now a two year bill and needs your input and support to make sure every public adjuster’s interests are considered. Senate Bill 488 proposes negative regulations to the profession of public adjusting and should be taken seriously.
Come meet your colleagues and see what you can do to make your profession better! Please RSVP to CAPIA Treasurer, Peter Davidson by Friday, June 19, 2015 at (818) 430-2288.
