The Georgia Association of Public Insurance Adjusters will hold its Spring Meeting on May 14 in Atlanta. GAPIA is one of the hardest working public adjuster associations I have ever been associated with. Unfortunately, we will be without Foy Taff of Taff Claims Service.
I have no idea how Foy kept up with the energy of his wife and public adjusting partner, Anita Taff. Like so many public adjusting firms, Foy and Anita made their work a family public adjusting business which has now been ongoing for over 25 years. Foy always had a positive attitude and a friendly comment or question for me after I made a presentation. I will miss him.
The GAPIA Spring agenda is a full day and yours truly is really looking forward to being there and presenting. I originally promised GAPIA’s Executive Director Margie Butler to give a presentation and then a trial date involving a pier collapse claim on the Delaware River seemed to have me in an impossible conflict—so I brought in Merlin Law Group attorney Nicole Vincent from the bullpen to give my speech for me. As fate would have it, my case surprisingly settled last week, but Nicole Vincent just started her own trial in Atlanta. So, I am back on the mound with possibly no back up, if Nicole’s case does not conclude in time for her to be there.
