Public Adjusters licensed in Texas should head to San Antonio for the 2012 TAPIA Fall Conference at the historic Menger Hotel on October 25 & 26, 2012.
One of the speakers you might recognize is our own Chip Merlin, who will presenting with Matthew Pearson, Esq., of Gravely & Pearson, and Jeff Raizner, Esq., of Doyle Raizner, in panel discussion titled What Texas Public Adjuster Ethically Should and Should Not Include in Their Claim File.
Executive Director, Melissa Edwards expects this to be TAPIA’s best conference yet. President Clay Morrison of Morrison & Morrison will kick-off the conference and, later, hand over the reigns to Doug Morris, of Continental Adjusters, Inc., the incoming President.

The importance of TAPIA as a service organization cannot be overemphasized. The insurance industry is supposed to serve its customers, but rarely do I see any insurance industry executives leading the charge to self-regulate or promote laws that protect their customers from improper treatment. The only licensed individuals, other than attorneys, who stand up for the interests of policyholders are public adjusters. It is no wonder that many in the insurance claims industry are antagonistic to them.
